ChatGPT Plus : Faut-il le déployer à toute l'entreprise ? - Matthieu Corthésy

In this new edition of the Managerial Excellence Masterclasses, we welcomed Matthieu Corthésy, a digital marketing expert and trainer on ChatGPT, who recently published “ChatGPT for Business: The Complete Guide to Maximizing Your Productivity”. Matthieu shared his expertise on using ChatGPT Plus in business and answered a crucial question: Should ChatGPT Plus be deployed company-wide?

ChatGPT: a Revolution for Productivity

Matthieu explained that ChatGPT is no longer just a tool for personal use, but can play a crucial role in businesses. From writing emails to creating business plans, and generating marketing content, this conversational assistant is a real asset for increasing productivity. Matthieu emphasized that one of the revolutions of ChatGPT Plus is its ability to handle complex tasks, such as code creation or data analysis.

Business Use Cases

What are the most relevant business use cases? Matthieu presented a “pyramid of uses” metaphor to illustrate the different levels of ChatGPT Plus utilization. At the base, ChatGPT can serve as a “sparring partner,” offering an external perspective on ideas or concepts, without making decisions. It can also help automate simple tasks such as writing reports, job offers, or even work certificates, if the context is well-defined.

At the top of the pyramid, Matthieu mentioned more advanced uses, such as speech writing or preparing complex documents, where ChatGPT plays the role of an augmented assistant, capable of handling more elaborate requests. He also specified that the improvement in result quality directly depends on the quality of the instructions provided to the tool.

ChatGPT plus or the Free Version: which to Choose?

A key question addressed during this session was the difference between the free version of ChatGPT and the paid version (ChatGPT Plus). According to Matthieu, the Plus version offers advanced features that make it particularly useful for businesses, including the ability to process longer conversations and integrate a larger volume of context (up to 200 pages). This allows ChatGPT to provide more precise answers and improve consistency in complex projects.

However, he also mentioned the advantages of the Team version of ChatGPT, which ensures a higher level of security and better user management within the same organization. Microsoft Copilot, an alternative to ChatGPT, was also mentioned as a tool particularly suited for companies already integrated into the Microsoft ecosystem, allowing access to ChatGPT 4 directly in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

ChatGPT: a Super Intern for your Teams

Matthieu also shared an interesting metaphor: “ChatGPT is like an intern”. He explained that, just like an intern, ChatGPT needs to be well-supervised and receive clear instructions to provide relevant results. If it is not given sufficient context, its answers risk being too generic or inaccurate. He also warned that ChatGPT, in its desire to please, might “lie” to provide an answer.

This analogy reinforces the idea that ChatGPT can be a powerful tool, but it does not replace human thought. By using it intelligently, it can accelerate processes, improve productivity, and reduce the workload of certain repetitive tasks, while allowing employees to provide more refined expertise.

Deploying ChatGPT plus: Yes, but how?

Regarding the question of how to deploy ChatGPT Plus in a company, Matthieu emphasized the importance of proceeding gradually. He recommended starting by identifying internal processes where AI can add value, without rushing into overly technical or complex solutions. He shared the example of a company that integrated ChatGPT to automate the creation of real estate listings from structured data, which significantly reduced processing time.

Furthermore, Matthieu emphasized the importance of training teams on the use of ChatGPT and encouraging employees to experiment to identify use cases specific to their role.

Conclusion: towards Intelligent Deployment of ChatGPT Plus

Should ChatGPT Plus be deployed company-wide? Matthieu’s answer is yes, but with a thoughtful and progressive approach. By understanding the appropriate uses for each function, training teams, and ensuring data security and confidentiality are taken into account, ChatGPT Plus can become a powerful ally in your company’s digital transformation.
